National Local Government Vulnerability Program

Building a national vulnerability profile through the lens of local government 

JLT Public Sector has developed a vulnerability profile methodology and National Local Government Vulnerability Program (NLGVP) for application council-by-council around the nation, profiling local government’s capacity and capability in resilience. 

The NLGVP creates harmonised data and information, supporting the objectives of the National Disaster Resilience Strategy. 

Designed to be multi-faceted, the program will:

  • Deliver specific vulnerability profile results to every council
  • Build a platform of nationally consistent, new and harmonised data
  • Provide information enabling governments to benchmark and monitor the build of resilience
  • Provide information and data that enables partnering with insurers, all governments and stakeholders
  • Measure and monitor investment in disaster risk mitigation
